'He is in the image of the invisible God’ Colossians 1'

I don't think its an overstatement to say that the `non physical `world is more important than the physical. It is what makes us different, special …human. The metaphysical is beyond the objective study of material reality and yet it is the key to life. Love, faith, empathy, beauty, joy, grief, morality, forgiveness, guilt none are measurable but they are the bedrock of our reality even the consciousness that brings them into being eludes science to this day. Indeed the creation of life itself is currently inexplicable and yet we accept its reality. Why ? Because together they allow us to make sense of the world but they exist in a realm which to me is very distinct from evolution. Natural selection and the mechanics of the mutating self replicator is explicable but even here if you take it back far enough we are left with information and life and the questions how? And why ?The messenger cant explain the message.

That's why I think its strange that some friends of mine say ‘how can you believe in an invisible God and yet as John Lennox points out we can't even explain the existence of such fundamentals as gravity and energy. We can explain their laws but not the how? Or why? We are born with a need for the invisible all of which is needed to make us who we are there is no junk no waste our software is packaged for a purpose. And this of course includes our search for meaning our spiritual quest for truth which no matter how much we try to suppress because it raises difficult questions is in each and everyone of us. The invisible is not the invisible at all but the gift of our creator and why we are here.
