Dawkins describes belief in God as ‘a false belief or judgement in-spite of incontrovertible evidence to the contrary’. Life is a mystery full of questions that remain unanswered what does our own consciousness tell us belief or unbelief? Why is there something rather than nothing?
Empirically our universal awareness is that literally nothing can come from nothing there has to be a first mover. So what to make of the big bang or the competing multiverse theory? Matter, energy, light, mind everything in our universe was created. From where? Why the unimaginable degree of fine tuning to the universe, our planet, life itself which allows us to exist against odds which are incomprehensible? Why is the universe explicable? By maths and physics which are metaphysical .How come our minds are built to comprehend them. Intelligibility requires mind. Specificity of output requires specificity of in put. Proteins, DNA, amino acids all require and contain information. Where is the mind that lays behind? Evolution is physical but how did the metaphysical by example mathematics which can only dwell in a consciousness evolve? Not certainly by blind random mutation.
All existing things give life meaning which require a mind which mind do they come from? We still don't know the origin of life in fact it moves away from us as natural selection becomes mathematically less and less possible. In any event how can sentience arise from light ,energy and matter? How can a thought appear solid? Why do we feel guilt when on an evolutionary scale there are countless instances when it doesn't derive benefit. Where do love, truth, beauty, hope, evil fit into blind indifference? And why when removed does, misery, loneliness, dissatisfaction arise? We seek after a permanent level of satisfaction that materialism seemingly illogically cant provide nor quarks ,superstrings, dark energy explain. Why don't we live in a senseless world? Why do the gospels play out everyday in front of our eyes.
I believe only God can make sense of all of this and he lives within his creation.
