‘ I am the way the truth the life’ John 14.4

St Augustine of Hippo wrote that anyone confirming truth in doing so affirms the existence of God. Indeed the word truth is used nine times in the gospel of John. The word of God is reality and therefore the truth which is everlasting and changeless 2x2 will always be 4 a circle can never be a triangle true love can never be hate and is always good.

‘ Lo thy dread empire chaos is restore Light dies before thy uncreating word ........and universal darkness buries all’ The interesting point is that in this world as per the second law of thermodynamics entropy rules all things the trend inevitably is towards disorder . Of course humanity tries to impose order on the world to make it liveable .Laws,businesses, marriage ,family units are all attempts to hold back the tide of chaos but they only ever work if they are based on truth. As often as not  man tries to impose his own order presupposing that he can do so without God which invariably produces suffering and tyrannies that result in the most extreme and awful fauda. Evil is synonymous with chaos and disorder. Empirically we know that wherever there is ordered structure it presupposes an intelligent mind although not necessarily wisdom , that is our choice.

I believe that Augustine was correct changeless order can never be a human creation as we know that if it was it would be finite . The building blocks of nature cannot be changed neither can the teachings of Christ. Which we know by personal experience to be pure wisdom and therefore timeless and indestructible  and because we know that order cannot come about of itself is therefore the clearest proof that it represents the language of God.
