There are many references in the bible to wisdom all positive. Wisdom leads to the truth and ' the truth will set you free'. Consciousness is one of life's many miracles perhaps the greatest. We are made up of totally non sentient particles and yet we are aware . A mystery that still has scientists scratching their heads. We are aware not just of the world that surrounds us but our knowledge of numbers , language , the gift of imagination give us the ability to understand it. In fact numbers are so remarkable that they can prove a thing exists even before the laboratory can verify that it does. Like Columbus we are exploring a country that seems to be already there. However there is an unanswered question imagination allows us to dream of what we cannot achieve ' the desire is infinite the act a slave to limit.' Man is forever condemned to seek the impossible' seek and ye shall find ' well yes but only some of the time.
Or is it that we simply haven't gone far enough as yet? We are still like children in the classroom and that the book of wisdom is potentially limitless and that in fact we have been given the ability to achieve parity with God the possibility that man and God can become equals . After all surely that’s the wish of all loving fathers for their children? I've always kept away from fortune telling first because of a feeling that the future is best left in the hands of God and can play potentially destructive tricks on the mind. Secondly because through personal experience I know that it can be used by the devil as an evil to trick and influence events for the worst. But an Indian friend of mine argues that fortune telling is not magic but numerology which if used correctly simply allows us the ability to read the book of life that God has already written or at least one of its possible futures. That God has given us the ability to discern our own future.'
'live for today let tomorrow take care of itself' it seems to me the action of free will lays at the cusp of this. God is God so he knows all things and all futures are within him. But our actions today govern which of a limitless number of potential futures becomes ours ,wisdom gives us the choice. We can in effect govern our futures by our actions today . The bible says ' wisdom is justified by her children' the wise use of wisdom allows us to guide our futures for the good and keep us on the path towards journey's end.
