' whatever a man sows that he shall also reap' Galatians 6

This is more I believe than just ' you get what you deserve' . Yet it is amazing how often people get their just deserts as Martin Luther King said ‘ the moral arc of the universe is long but it bends towards justice’. Those who live by the sword die by the sword you don't have to look any further than ISIS . Robbers end up by being robbed either of their ill gotten gains or freedom dirty money doesn’t stick. Lies invariably catch up with liars and those who bring emotional stress and cruelty to others can expect the same in their own lives .Whether you believe in divine justice or not it's hard to deny a universal pendulum push it one way and it will invariably swing back the other. What gets revisited on a perpetrator of a wrong is not necessarily the same hurt  but very often an emotional cousin.

If we are cruel and unjust in some way a shadow gets cast onto our lives even if at the time we don't recognize its coming.  If God is our  father and this world  created out of love and life's journey one of discovery and learning isn't this the only way it can be? As parents if our children are naughty do we do the right thing or wrong thing if we bring any misdeeds to their attention and  I think we would all agree it's the right thing. But surely it runs a little deeper ? As individuals we reap the harvest of how we interact with our fellow human beings however it also gets reflected in our surroundings.Global warming,  terrorism ,materialism run riot,  are the furnishings we choose for the world around us just as much as those with whom we choose to share our lives' birds of a feather'. Walk into any house and it reflects the people who live there. So let's not put the blame on others or expect society to cure our self inflicted ills that's not the way things are look in the mirror that's where the buck stops.
